From the first time I learned about the Food Shed Co-op I knew I wanted to get more involved, so I joined the Steering Committee in May of 2014. The concept of having a food store that I as an owner, will have a say in the products sold, help determine the location of the store and to ensure goods sold are of the highest quality is so exciting. I have worked in the commercial real estate industry for more than 30 years and I think my experience will help out the Food Shed Co-op tremendously by helping with site selection and controlling the cost of the building of the store to meet our needs. I also hope to become a supplier of aquaponicly grown produce and locally grown Tilapia. This hobby I mine has grown to the point where I have the ability to supply local restaurants and one day the Food Shed Co-op with my products.
