Food Shed Co-op Farm to Table Wine Dinner Wednesday, August 9th from 6pm to 8pm will be held at Dukes Alehouse and Kitchen in downtown Crystal Lake.
This unique fundraiser focuses on environmentally sustainable farming practices from meat to veggies to wine. There will be 4 courses and 3 curated glasses of wine. Duke’s and the wine producer, Materra, Cunat Family Vineyards, will be offering raffle items, as well. Only 50 seats are available so don't wait. Tickets cost $100 per person and include everything: wines, food, tax and tip. You will have the option of a meat or plant based menu.
Duke’s Kitchen creates gourmet comfort foods and artisan sandwiches utilizing sustainable ingredients from local farmers and producers. Duke's believes food should should not only be responsibly sourced, but should also be healthy for our community, the environment, and your health.
Materra Winery is located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The Cunat family, from McHenry, IL, own the vineyard and winery. The winery is Certified Napa Green by the Napa Valley Vintners Association and is 100% solar powered. The vineyard is sustainably farmed and certified “fish friendly.” Additionally, they received the California congressional award for the best recycling and composting program in Napa Valley. Wines are made by 3rd generation winemaker, Chelsea Barret, daughter of the most famous female winemaker in the United States, Heidi Barrett.
