Linda Balek serves as Land Protection Specialist at The Land Conservancy of McHenry County (TLC), a not-for-profit land trust based in Woodstock, IL. TLC works to preserve scenic, natural and agricultural land to ensure that McHenry County remains a healthy, beautiful, whole community now and for generations to come. Linda grew up on a farm in McHenry County and feels tied to the land and devoted to making it a better place. This connection to the land naturally led her to getting involved with the McHenry County Food Cooperative Steering Team.
