September 2014 Newsletter

What a beautiful September we’ve had so far!

Food Shed volunteers spent a sunny Saturday at Soulful Prairies earlier this month harvesting veggies from our Grow and Share to be donated to a local food pantry. We've added some beautiful photos from the garden to our Gallery

Visit us at one of the many events we have coming up! If you have one of our awesome t-shirts, show your co-op pride by wearing it. If you don’t have one yet, ask a volunteer at one of our events how you can get one.

Speaking of volunteers, we are still looking for help for many of our upcoming events. Click on any an event name below to view the event on our website. Then scroll to the bottom of the listing where you'll see the open volunteer shift times. Check the box next to the time you'd like to help out, then click "Send RSVP" to volunteer - it's that easy!

Have you seen our Celebrity Challenge? We’ve posted the image above on FacebookTwitter and Instagram and we're asking you to repost it with a challenge to your favorite celebrities (celebrity chefs, musicians, photographers, philosophers, journalists, athletes, actors, artists, activists, you name it!). Ask that they share a post of their own that showcases their co-op pride. Participate in taking back the local food system and help cooperatives all over gain exposure with this fun initiative.

We’ve reached 77 Owners and are bracing ourselves for a flood of new Owners when our very first official Ownership drive kicks off next week! Watch for details on the first day of Fall. If you want to help out with the drive, please email us at [email protected] and let us know how you would like to be involved.

There's no need to wait for the drive, you can become an Owner today.
